Entourée de sa famille à l’hôpital de Miramichi, le lundi 20 mars 2023, est décédée Mme Léola Manuel, à l’âge de 92 ans. Elle était l’épouse d’Albert Manuel et demeurait à Baie-Sainte-Anne. Née le 25 mai 1930, elle était la fille de feu Raymond Gibbs et de feu Linda Martin.

Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil quatre filles : Alberte Manuel (Rhéal), Francine Manuel (Gary), Andréa LeFlock (Derick) et Anne Manuel; cinq fils : Hilaire (Rosemay), Valérien (Christianne), Blair (Brigitte), Alain (Tracy) et Marcel (Nadine); un frère, Ralph Gibbs; 11 petits-enfants : Jeremy, Adam, Lindsey, Scotty, Mélanie, Tania, Maya, Megan, Cody, Shantal et Shaylee; dix arrière-petits-enfants : Payton, Farrah, Tytan, Brynlee, Éthan, Asia, Daluka, Evie, Hunter et Aliyah; un filleul, Marc McIntyre, ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et amis.

Elle a été précédée dans la tombe par ses parents, quatre sœurs : Raymonde Gibbs, Léocade Daigle, Exina Thériault et Ethel Gibbs, ainsi qu’un frère, Valmond Gibbs.

Il n’y aura pas de visites au salon. Les funérailles seront célébrées en l’église Sainte-Anne de Baie-Sainte-Anne, le samedi 25 mars 2023 à 11h.

La direction des funérailles a été confiée aux soins professionnels de la Coopérative Funéraire « La Colombe » Ltée de Tracadie.

Surrounded by her family at the Miramichi hospital on Monday march 20^th passed away Léola Manuel at the age of 92 years old. She was the spouse of Albert Manuel from Baie-Ste-Anne. Born on May 25,1930 she was the daughter of the late Raymond Gibbs and the late Linda Martin.

Beside her husband, she is survived by four daughters: Alberte Manuel (Rhéal), Francine Manuel (Gary), Andréa LeFlock (Derick) and Anne Manuel; five sons: Hilaire (Rosemay), Valérien (Christianne), Blair (Brigitte), Alain (Tracy) and Marcel (Nadine); one brother, Ralph Gibbs; 11 grand-children: Jeremy, Adam, Lindsey, Scotty, Mélanie, Tania, Maya, Megan, Cody, Shantal and Shaylee; ten great-grand-children: Payton, Farrah, Tytan, Brynlee, Éthan, Asia, Daluka, Evie, Hunter and Aliyah; one godson, Marc McIntyre, as well as several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, four sisters: Raymonde Gibbs, Léocade Daigle, Exina Thériault and Ethel Gibbs, as well as one brother, Valmond Gibbs.

There will be no visitation at the salon. The funerals will be celebrated at the church Sainte-Anne of Baie-Sainte-Anne, on Saturday March 25^th, 2023 at 11.
