At the Miramichi regional Hospital, on Monday February 3, 2025, passed away Daniel R. Hawkins, at the age of 77. He was the husband of Cécilia Punzalan Hawkins from Acadieville. Born on February 26, 1948, he was the son of the late George Ralph Hawkins and of  Hazel Ruth Morin.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Shenan Hawkins; his sister, Sherry Thompson (Sean Thompson), as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sister Diana Melnick (Ron Melnick), as well as his brother, Gary Hawkins (Nathalie Hawkins).

The funeral arrangements been entrusted to the professional care of the Coopérative Funéraire « La Colombe » Ltée.
